Eigenschaften:
Die nützliche Raubmilbe Amblyseius californicus kann gut zur biologischen Bekämpfung von Spinnmilben eingesetzt werden. Dabei sollte der Befall an Spinnmilben nicht zu hoch sein, andernfalls kann man mit biologischen Pflanzenschutzmitteln auf Neemölbasis (NeemAzal-T/S, Celaflor, Schädlingsfrei Neem) die Wirkung unterstützen ohne die Nützlinge zu schädigen. Amblyseius californicus verträgt auch geringe Luftfeuchte gut und kann längere Zeit in der Kultur überleben, da sie auch Pollen als Nahrung nutzen kann. Auch höhere Temperaturen werden von der Raubmilbenart gut vertragen. Für eine erfolgreiche Spinnmilbenbekämpfung sollte Amblyseius californicus vorbeugend ein bis zwei mal im Jahr im Pflanzenbestand ausgebracht werden und kann so unter günstigen Bedingungen dauerhaft etabliert werden.
